After attending the University of Pennsylvania, I graduated from George Washington Law School and worked as a lawyer and in business affairs. Later in life, after getting married and having two children, I earned a master’s degree from the New York University School of Social Work. I went on to become certified in psychoanalysis by the National Institute for the Psychotherapies and received special training in couples and family therapy and divorce mediation.
For more than ten years, I’ve had a psychotherapy practice on the Upper East Side where I see adults, couples and families.
I’ve also trained in stress-reducing breathing practices, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), techniques that enhance talk therapy.
My articles have appeared in various media outlets, and I have been interviewed on a variety of mental health topics including parenting and dating. I have led workshops at the National Institute for Psychotherapies and at 92Y and the JCC.
